Social Advocacy

The time to be silent has long passed.  As Elie Wiesel said,

Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

The Temple Israel Social Advocacy committee is a committee associated with the Social Action committee and focuses on special actions that the Jewish community can take related to Jewish values.

The Union for Reform Judaism, guided by its counsel in its Religious Action Center (RAC) in Washington, DC, as well as countless synagogues across our country, have found themselves called to action. If you feel called to action, contact the Temple Israel Social Advocacy committee or visit the RAC website.
