Summary |
It was an honor to be included in a clergy round table discussion with Congresswoman Emilia Sykes this morning. It is always important for our small community to maintain a strong connection with our public representatives. The meeting with a dozen other religious leaders was also a stark reminder of how valuable our allies are in the Akron community. In sharing our concerns for our community with the Congresswoman, numerous leaders in the Black and Christian community shared their commitment to our security and I shared our continued commitment to theirs. We have to be present with each other. I'll speak more about this Friday night. We will also be joined by our Religious School's Gesher (middle school) students as they lead us in some of the priors prior to their retreat this weekend. Finally, a reminder that this Sunday at 10am we invite anyone interested in joining our 2024 multi-generational trip to Israel to attend our first informational session. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
