Youth Education

Throughout our children’s daily lives, they may often find that they are the only Jewish child in their class, sports team, or after-school program. At Temple Israel, we believe it is of the utmost importance to give Jewish children a safe place to explore their Jewish identity. Our students look forward to spending time with their Temple friends while they learn about Judaism through creativity and play.

Temple Israel’s main child-related program is through the Cantor Gedaliah Gertz Education Center. The center’s mission is to foster the creation of Jewish adults who can participate actively and confidently in Jewish life.

We also foster a connection to Jewish life in children too young for school with our Tot Programming and keep students engaged long after their B'nai Mitzvahs with our Teen Programming.
