Summary |
Everything Israel . . . This week is the week of modern Israeli holidays in the Jewish calendar. It began with the siren calling in Yom HaZikaron; Israeli Memorial Day. As soon as the mourning has ceased, Israel immediately shifts to celebrating her Independence, this year reaching the 75th anniversary. We move from marking loss to celebrating freedom while acknowledging that more often than not, the two are intertwined. This Shabbat I will be joined by Noah Fromson as we conclude this week celebrating what Israel means to us in the Diaspora. Join us at 6:15 Friday evening in person and online.
Now is also the time to sign up to join my family in Israel during the summer of 2024. Click here for details
Am Yisrael Chai . . . May Israel the people and Israel the State live on in joy and in strength!
